Ho 2 HD e su uno WINXP sull'altro GENTOO.
Uso LILO.
E per scegliere ho configurato LILO come indicato nel manuale (domande e risposte frequenti)

table=/dev/hdb
map-drive = 0x80
to = 0x81
map-drive = 0x81
to = 0x80 |
GENTOO si avvia; WindowsXP no.
Consigli?

INCREDIBILE funziona.
stamattina ho acceso il PC e riprovato a far partire WINXP e incredibilmente ha funzionato.

GRUB è meglio di LILO? Se così cambio subito (purchè funga col dual boot con WINXP su HD secondario). |

oltre che per il fatto di non doverlo lanciare ogni volta che ricompili un kernel... comodo per chi ci smanetta spesso.

soprattutto per un utente alle prime armi è meglio GRUB. ha meno complicazioni ed è più intuitivo

Grub è molto più utilizzato perché IMHO è migliore e consente di fare tutta una serie di cose impossibili con lilo...
Poi sempre IMHO funziona meglio ed è più semplice da configurare...

non lo sapevo... ero convinto fosse GPL.
a questo punto mi sorprende il fatto che debian continui ad utilizzarlo, loro che sono tanto contro le licenze non GPL |
