hallo,
ich habe bei mir mal testweise den kernel 2.6.16-rc3-nitro1 installiert. dieser bootet auch prima und gibt keine fehler aus. aber beim bauen des nvidia-moduls scheiter ich.

ich weiss das der kernel noch nicht stable ist. aber vieleicht hab ich ja nur was vergessen. bin für jede hilfe dankbar!

Wenn ich mich recht erinner waren die Nitro-Sources doch extrem gepatcht, kein Wunder dass es da zu Schwierigkeiten mit anderen Kernelmodulen kommen kann.
Oh, ich seh grade dass es die Nitro-Sources offiziell nicht für Gentoo gibt. Also selbst schuld würd ich sagen.

Welchen gcc benutzt du?
Hattest du mit einer Revision davor das gleiche Problem?
Welchen Nvidia Kernel nutzt du atm?

Ungefähr genauso sinnvoll wie Dein Gejammer dadrüber. 
Fakt ist, er nutzt einen Kernel er bis zum bitteren Ende mit diversen Patchsets "veredelt" worden ist und wundert sich dann dass er ein Kernelmodul nicht übersetzen kann. Anstatt ein Posting darüber abzusetzen hätte ich an seiner Stelle erst einmal geschaut, ob der Fehler mit einem vanilla-Kernel oder den gentoo-sources ebenfalls auftritt. Falls ja, DANN wäre ein Bugreport fällig, nicht aber bei einem Kernel der offiziell nicht von Gentoo unterstützt wird, IMHO.

hallo, meine gcc version ist die aktuelle also 3.4.4 .ich benutze zur zeit den kernel 2.6.15-nitro3 bei dem klappt alles super. der nvidia treiber hat die version NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8178-pkg1 und ist auch der neuste den man auf der nvidia hp bekommt. genau den benutze ich auch mit dem jetzigen kernel. allerdings habe ich den nvidia treiber nicht per emerge, sondern "manuel" installiert. beim jetzigen kernel und auch bei dem oben genannten versuch.

Nein, der Kernel ist etwas "overpatched". Frag mal den Autor, manchmal bringt der so ein Patch dafür raus.

ok, jedenfalls vielen dank!
ich markiere den thread dann mal als gelöst.
EDIT: es liegt am kernel, die entwickler wissen es und arbeiten drann. die rc2 version klappt aber! |
