I love running Gentoo on my T40, I have everything I need and then some, windows users are jealous!
But I recently was given a blackberry from my company and I have a few issues right off the bat...
1. When I plug the blackberry (BB) into my laptop via USB I get an error on the BB saying insufficient current from USB device for charging.
2. I cannot sync my contacts or information to evolution and vice versa!
Anyone want to share their experiences with this setup? I have read that if you use a MS Exchange server (yuk) you can sync your BB calander, contacts with Evolution.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Blackberry requires a current draw from your USB controller.
If T40 cannot supply the necessary 200mW draw, then I suggest you get a powered USB HUB to do this. _________________ Clusters of Fry's Special, AMD 2200, 2 GB DDR, 220 GB (2008.1/desktop, stage 1, -O3) x8

Mine won't charge, or sync in Linux either, even via VMWare..........there's a huge issue surrounding this that has been discussed a bit on the VMWare forums, but no real sollution. |
