I recently transfered some folders and files from my previous Linux distro. The folder and files only required User:wuya and Group:users permissions to access it. But when I transfered it to Gentoo, it became User:root and Group:root! How do I change it and all subfolder and subfiles? _________________ Linux gentoo 2.6.14-gentoo-r5, Fluxbox

You might want to read some shell / linux commands tutorial.
