Hi. I'd like to try the new xgl stuff. Ideally I don't want to install gnome, but I think people have gotten xgl to work with other WM if they still run gnome-window-decorator. How do I install this program? There's no ebuild for it. Do I need to install all of gnome to get the gnome-window-decorator?
Thanks! |

I haven't tried XGL yet. But as far as I know gnome-window-decorator is a part of Compiz (no ebuild in portage, use CVS or hannos ebuilds). And if you install Compiz you will get gnome-window-decorator IF you have gnome control center (emerge control-center) and libwnck installed. But I believe installing them will install much of GNOME. |
