i dont kow about your kernel but my 2.6.14.2 kernel lists:
Code: | Device Drivers --->
Character devices --->
<*> /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)
< > VIA chipset support
<*> Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support)
< > Via unichrome video cards |

x x <M> Intel 440LX/BX/GX, I8xx and E7x05 chipset support x x

I think i read somewhere that agpgart has been built into the kernel automatically. i think that's why there is no selection slot [ ]; however I see only INTEL's and there is no VIA chipset hmmmm anyone has explanation to this? |

ak47, you must use a kernel version 2.6.13 or newer to have drm on via. As an alternative, you could emerge x11-drm (which, despite the name, provides equivalents to kernel modules). |
