Hello!
I can run few alsaplayers at the same time and everything is ok.
I can run enemy territory with sound using oss emulation and it works too.
But what should I do to run enemy territory _and_ mp3 player in background. If alsaplayer starts first, et cannot find /dev/dsp. When I run et first, I get the following message:
Code: | ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:819:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
snd_pcm_open: Urządzenie lub zasoby zajęte (default)
Failed to initialize plugin!
Failed to register plugin: /usr/lib64/alsaplayer/output/libalsa_out.so
Failed to load output plugin "alsa". Trying defaults.
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:819:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
snd_pcm_open: Urządzenie lub zasoby zajęte (default)
Failed to initialize plugin!
/usr/lib64/alsaplayer/output/libalsa_out.so failed to load
error opening /dev/dsp
Failed to initialize plugin!
/usr/lib64/alsaplayer/output/liboss_out.so failed to load
NOTE: THIS IS THE NULL PLUGIN. YOU WILL NOT HEAR SOUND!! |
any suggestions? |

Yo try putting aoss before the enemy teritory command.
eg. if you wanted to run firefox:
This will work provided you have dmix setup.

with aoss32 (i'm on 64-bit machine) sound in ET works (even with other sound sources) but is totally deformed. i tried run it with diffrent versions of ~/.asoundrc, but it's always the same. |
