I've recently brought my computer back to school after a long weekend, and in the process have been trying to get my interenet back up and running. Over the break, I was using wireless, so my ethernet was all disabled (i.e. removed from the default runlevel) Now that I've brought it back to school, I can't seem to get it to work again. I've re-added net.eth0 to the default runlevel, but still no luck. I'm just completely stumped. During the boot process, everything goes smoothly and I get no errors, though when booting anything related to network access (apache, ssh) it goes very slowly. My default runlevel includes:
Code: | famd
hald
sshd
local
vixie-cron
iptables
syslog-ng
coldplug
esound
net.eth0
netmount
apache2
hotplug
nfsmount

The weirdest thing is that I can ping my router and everything works just fine. Any help would be appreciated. _________________ It's a joyless existence, being smushed.

*bangs head against wall*
Fixed. The culprit was my /etc/resolv.conf, as I use dhcp at home and a static IP here. Changed that around, flushed my router's client table, and I'm back up and running. _________________ It's a joyless existence, being smushed. |
