well, I got the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo, and installed it.......and it won't boot.
I have disconnected HDD's, DVD, all add on cards, switched RAM slot....but the screen is black.
The only thing remaining is to try with another graphics card, but I have to find one first.

Btw, I am using a Geforce 4 MX440, does anyone know if it is a 1.5v or 3.3v card?

And, in the manual, it says that if my PSU has a 12V connector, I _have_to_ connect it or it might cause sartup problems. My PSU has a 12 connector, but if I plug it it together with the 20 PIN connector, nothing happens when I push the power button. nada.
If I unplug it however, I get power, but no picture on my screen. The internal speaker does not beep, the optical mouse does not light up and the keyboard neither.

Any suggestions....or is it back to the dealer with this one...

Thanks!

You should go to the dealer and let him test the board in your presence.

Alsa take your cpu, ram and psu with you, if the board works you can test the other components one by one.

hm, it was the 12V connector. I mistoke it for the detachable 20/24 pin cable. they look the same!! Actually I saw several ppl on different forums that did the same mistake as me...that made me feel a little better at least

anyways, now it boots just fine, but I got another prblm you can read all about here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3131989.html

thanks!
