I hvae intel 82865G Graphics controler in one of my computers and I really want to change it to a linux box, but i want the graphics to be nice a crisp. does anybody have experience with linux drivers intel provides? the manual is around 200 pages and would like some opinions before i dig into that.

Well the card for one will almost always work fine using the vesa driver. Next to that I believe there are also 3D accellerated linux drivers for the Intel graphics however I don't know for sure. |

if i just enable the vesa driver in the kernel everything should be fine and i will have decent graphics? |

Should I enable either one of those or jsut the vesa? they arent specific to my card, but they are close? |
