Firstly, apologies to the Mods if this is a dupe, but I couldn't fins any mention of this anywhere?
Does anyone know of any good video editing software for Linux? |

You got basically a couple of things
Command line:
transcode can do a lot a things - obviously - that I don't know about.
mencoder is the encoding part of mplayer - can be used to reencode and change framesizes,etc.
There is a halfway functional gui for it that seems to be unmaintained and goes as kmencoder
gui
avidemux can cut,encode,filter,makes svcd's and more |

avidemux is pretty good for editing out stuff, and it's in portage. |

You know that cinelerra is in Portage, right? media-video/cinelerra (currently at 1.0.0) |

Yeah, but I like 1.1.5 Stuff I do actually requires the features in 1.1.5, anyway.
Besides, I've been using Cinelerra by compiling it since beta1, so I guess you could say I've become entrenched in my ways |
