howdy:
i just emrged kopete-3.5.1 and when i try to run the program it comes up but it's completely unusable. apart from opening a window and doing an inital refresh, nothing works, no buttons, no menus, not even the sys tray icon. when i cover a part of the window with another, it never refreshes and i have to use xkill to get rid of it. all my other kde apps run alright (except for kate and kwrite which take 5 mins to start). what's the deal?

Try removing ~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc
and then restart kopete and see if that helps. (You'll have to reset your preferences and accounts in Kopete) |

I still had this problem i the kopete in KDE 3.5.5, but just deleting a "block user" statement plus all of the "enable rich text" statements in the bottom of the kopeterc file fixed the problem for me. With out me loosing the important configurations.
