I thought the upgrade to 7.0 had succeeded without any major problems. Wrong again.
Every time I try to start a new session (typically by locking the old session and chinging the user),
the first session just disappears. This worked fine under 6.8.2 (and I used it all the time - I really
need this to work). Actually, maybe like the whole X server crashes.
ps auwx shows this (with "user" having logged in a few minutes prior, and now having NO other
processes in the table): Code: |
root 8102 0.0 0.1 2812 700 ? Ss 17:15 0:00 /usr/kde/3.5/bin/kdm
user 8217 0.7 3.1 24076 12304 ? TN 17:19 0:00 /usr/kde/3.5/bin/kblankscrn.kss -root
root 8252 1.6 2.2 12884 8640 tty7 Ss+ 17:20 0:01 /usr/bin/X -br -nolisten tcp :0 vt7 -auth /var/run/xauth/A:0-BdARXz
root 8253 0.0 0.2 3116 1048 ? S 17:20 0:00 -:0
root 8273 1.2 3.1 20552 12036 ? S 17:20 0:01 /usr/kde/3.5/bin/kdm_greet |
Thank you in advance for your help. |
