This is a very important topic for many reasons. I second the motion for a Xen or Virtualisation section.

Thanks!

Hallo nixnut !

I mean it is possible but not probably.

Xen is going to go into the Linuxkernel with 2.6.16xx. Well, it's a thorny way from 2.12xx to 2.16xx.
If you haven't a startpoint for DomU you can't get a .config. But if you have got a running Xen-system
the number of questions rises.

For example:
bonding: Warning: error
modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.6.16-rc3-xen/modules.dep (No such file or directory) error
hotplug error
INIT: Id "c2" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes error
and so on. So I think here are more questions than a wiki-page to answer can.

Rigth, you have to create guests. What is the best way? Img, lvm, with qemu or the domi-scripts?
Which distribution is the best guest-distribution? Gentoo? Probably distributions the based of rpms and deps.
Thus so the integration of yum, apt, and yast is a must if gentoo in the future an aircraft carrier wants to become.
Mind you, not to manage gentoo but the guest-systems.

So I think here are more questions than a wiki-page to answer can.
This are sufficient reasons? I don`t know. The answer lies in the community.

Best regards

Ma
