Hello!! je viens de finir d'installer, non sans mal, ma première gentoo ; et quand je boot, ben c'est comme si j'avais 3 écran superposés sur mon 15'4 wxga (portable asus A6V) Pis ben apres la lecture de je ne sais combien de posts qui n'avaient rien à voir, je me résous à poster mon mien... Je vous pose la conf graphique de mon noyau, j'imagine que le souci est la, mais bon, je ne vois pas ou:

Tu as une nvidia c'est ça ? quel modèle ?
Si c'est une carte récente, utilise plutôt le driver vesa-tng pour le FB.
De plus, n'en choisis qu'un dans la config de ton noyau.
Enfin, peux-tu nous poster ta ligne de boot pour vérifier les options que tu passes (grub ou lilo .conf) ?
Pour info, ma ligne de boot dans grub.conf

| Hola... je ne passe aucune option au boot... mais faut dire que c'est ma première gentoo, ma premiere compil de noyau... bref, avec mes mandrake et ubuntu j'ai appris pas mal de truc mais bon, pas à ce point. Sinon, j'utilise grub et la CG est une nvidia geforce 6600. Pour e qui est du fb, je l'ai viré sur une "recommandation" de l'installeur nvidia. |

Bon, puisque boozo râle et que les modos sont à la neige, faut bien se sacrifier ! 
@sly007 : voudrais-tu modifier ton titre pour qu'il soit conforme à nos conventions (voir le paragraphe 3/3) ?

Pour en revenir à ton pb, où en es-tu dans la config du noyau ? Tu as viré le FB ? Et toujours le même pb ?
En fait je comprends pas bien la description du phénomène. Peux-tu nous faire une capture ? Si tu es en fb, utilises fbgrab. Sinon, ben je sais pas faire.
Utilises-tu grub ou lilo pour booter ?
Tu as forcément l'un ou l'autre, et dedans une ligne de boot avec des options passées au noyau. Idem sous mdk et ubuntu. |

| Bon... j'oubliais de remplacer le noyau apres avoir recompiler, donc ca ne pouvait as marcher!! La c'est bon, avec un seul driver (en fait, j'ai juste mis le support fb dans la section graphique et c'est tout!!) Merci!!! |
