I want xmms or amarok, but fail on gtk+,why?

My system is: Athlon64 2800+ gentoo+kde3.5.1(starting from stage3).
When I want to emerge xmms or amarok, it has a erro and stop to emerge, information is:

I don not know why, and I have no meidaplayer now!!

No idea on the error, but you could always use mplayer. I'd use it over xmms anyway.
