how can i give a user the privlege of harware acceleration...
i think this may be the root of my mouse speed problem that i posted about here:

What you probably need to do is either go into Gnome's Control Panel and adjust the mouse settings or KDE's verion of the same thing. I know there's a command line option to make your mouse move faster, but I forget what it is.
Remember, when X came out screens were small. Mouse acceleration is very small in X. (Program may be xset) |

| i can get the xset command to work, but it wont remain faster once i load wolfenstein. the xset command is "xset mouse (thresh) (accel)" but do you know where to put this command so that it happens automatically. |
