I following those tutorials pages

to install and run mrtg with snmp in Gentoo box
seemed there are some bug's on mrtg
cuz in the last step
after i run this command
/usr/bin/indexmaker --output=/var/www/localhost/mrtg/index.html \
--title="Power Under Control :)" \
--sort=name \
--enumerate \
/etc/mrtg/traffic.cfg

i got this error

Use of uninitialized value in hash element at /usr/bin/indexmaker line 340.

any help ??

and what is on line 340 in /usr/bin/indexmaker line 340 ?

Sort of off topic, but have you taken any look at cacti?
http://www.cacti.net/

It's in portage aswell. I can recommend it, it's easy to install (just follow the instructions) and it's easy to manage once up and running you add new devices from the web-browser. No scripting.
