$ oocalc2
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/javaldx: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libuno_sal.so.3: file too short
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libucbhelper3gcc3.so: file too short

how to handle this error?? :(

seems as if the library libuno_sal.so.3 didn't compile correctly or some versions got mixed up.

What version of OpenOffice do you have installed on your system?
Waht java-version do you have installed on your system?

The version of OOo is OOo2.0.1.3 and java is blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.03.

OO requires a huge /tmp partition to compile, you may have run out of space during the build process. (or wherever you have /etc/make.conf set to use for temp)

I seem to recall seeing some note in the oo ebuild doco about requiring something in the order of 700mb at peak.

Re-build and monitor disk space.

yup considering that fact i emerged openoffice-bin and now its up n running :D . But it has emerged OOo 2.0 instead r thr any major differences btwn OOo2.0.1 and OOo2.0??
