My prehistoric laptop which allways ran Microsoft Windows, starting at Windows 95 afaik, was upgraded with a 100mbit PCMCIA card long time ago. The PCMCIA card isn't sold anymore, the company which makes those cards does not exist anymore.
So, i had no website, no drivers.. not even for Windows.
Even then it wasn't that hard to get it to work..
..So if i was you i would buy the PCMCIA card which you like the most, and use the Linux Kernel 2.6 PCMCIA. I don't think you'll run into unsolvable problems. |

Pretty much everything except Cisco/Aironet works (Cisco works too, but the driver has no support for WPA). Altough there are many brands of cards, almost all of them are based on a few well-known chipsets. And these are well supported in Linux. |
