Why is your musicbrainz installed in /usr/local/lib? Did you install it manually instead of letting the xmms-scrobbler ebuild pull it in as a dependency? If so, uninstall the version you built manually and let portage handle building it for you. If not, I guess the musicbrainz ebuild needs to have a bug filed against it. _________________

Post the error when trying to emerge musicbrainz then, and/or file a bug against it at bugs.gentoo.org. In the mean time, if you have to build it manually, you could try configuring it to install into /usr/lib instead of /usr/local/lib. I'm guessing the the xmms-scrobbler ebuild is looking for it there. _________________
