Hi
I'm running a Gentoo Machine with 10 - 20 Users on it and have a *serious* problem:
Every now and then gentoo begins to write "Could not write to /var/run/utmp", every time I attach a screen or open a new term inside a screen. The message vanishes when I reboot?.
What should I do, I'm totally despaired?

I get this too and I don't think I'm the only one.
It doesn't seem to prevent screen from properly functioning, but it is annoying and I'd be interested in hearing any solution. |
