I have done a emerge --newuse --deep world.
During compilation the following error occured:]

Could you post the result of "emerge -pv cyrus-sasl" so we can see what USE flags are set? And "emerge --info" would be helpful as well.
Also, do you have sys-libs/db installed? |

I have done a emerge --deep world -newuse
First try resulted in a compile error at cyrus-sasl (It did an update of portage and kdebase), second try too, and the third time the emerge of cyrus-sasl was sucessfull(?). |

This problem only occurs if I do a emerge --newuse --deep world. And only during the first try of emerge --newuse --deep world.
The second try is sucessfull - no error occurs (the compilation starts with cyrus-sasl). |

I'm not sure from what you posted -- did something else that cyrus-sasl depends on get compiled with changed USE flags on the first try, and then cyrus-sasl succeeded on the second? |
