Gaim just stopped working for me in the sence that it quits whenever i attempt to send a message. When ran through the gaim command in a terminal I get the error message:
Code: | *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x083ed6f8 ***
Aborted |
The last thing I did before this was recompile my kernel through the use of genkernel to include usb printer support.
Can anyone please help?

is missing the inotify support in the kernel, or you recompile the kernel to include built-in, or you load the right module. _________________ Arch Tester for Gentoo/FreeBSD

inotify is included by default as I'm running a 2.6.15-gentoo-r1. The issue has gone away when I turn off sounds despite the fact that that is just another issue. Either way this alerted me to the fact that I have yet to get support for sound on my system.
Starting sound thread and reluctantly calling this solved,
