I use rp-pppoe with the normal adsl scripts and Earthlink DSL through Genuity. Whenever I try to connect using adsl-start I first need to run adsl-setup EVERY time I run it. Otherwise the connection times out. |

Does this happen every time after a boot, or every time you run adsl-stop? I had a similar problem, where the /etc/init.d/net.ppp0 file messed up the rp-pppoe config. (removed passwords from pap-secret)
I removed net.ppp0 from the default runlevel and it have worked since then. _________________ Anarchy Online nerf victim |

Thanks, I'll re-add adsl-start to local.start and see what happens on boot. I don't feel like testing it now. |

I had the same problem. changed net.ppp0 to simply adsl-stop, adsl-start and everything worked fine. Seems the original script breaks the secrets files. _________________ The true guru is a teacher.
