I have some problem with running Oracle Xpress on my box. I've installed from the rpm, I configured the software via /etc/init./oracle-xe configure. However when I try to run it I get:

Starting Oracle Net Listener.
Starting Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Instance.
Failed to start Oracle Net Listener using /usr/lib64/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/tnslsnr and Oracle Express Database using /usr/lib64/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/sqlplus.

So I tried to run tnslsnr:

/usr/lib64/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/tnslsnr: error while loading shared libraries: libons.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I looked for libons.so on my sytem but couldn't find it (so I don't think there's a bad path somewhere). I also wasn't able to find and install libons.so. I would be grateful for any clues. |
