is there a command I can use to view info about my RAM? I wanna see which brand it is, frequency and so on.

theres a program called "hwinfo" in portage, it displays really everything i ever needed... however, as i don´t have it installed now, i can´t say if it will tell you brand, freq....
btw... its masked |

I've never heard of any command that specific for RAM info before, but if you enter your vendor and model into http://www.crucial.com, you'll be able to tell what you have.

Thanks!
hwinfo gave the info I needed this time. It did not tell me which brand it was, but at leat it told me how much there was in each slot + the MHz it is running.

Nope. I've just had a look at its manpage and can't see anything memory related. |
