i wanted to use gentoo again.
i have 2 comps and i ran gentoo 2005 stage 1 way back when with no problems, but had to put xp on it and now
i want to use gentoo again so i downloaded 2006
and proceeded to install it from the live cd
and tried minimal cd both wont boot it hangs on 78%
it says starting gpm and just hangs-- NO ERROR
so i downloaded 2005 and tried to boot that up HANGS at starting gpm also
but i do get an error : exec format error
i get an hotplug firmware error also
seems to have a problem unpacking....
i dont know what to say because i dont want to use another distro
it always hangs at that spot.. FOREVER
any help?

Can you get past this by hitting Ctrl-C when it tries to start gpm? |
