I just emerged evolution 1.2.3 and im wondering about a few things ..
First .. i got no evolution entry anywhere in the applications menu (using GNOME)
Second.. When i click on a headline in the summary screen nothing happens? isn't something supposed to happen there ?
I installed mozilla 1.3 with WANT_GTK2 so i can't get galeon to emerge.. maybe thats the explaination for the second question?
I tried to emerge galeon-cvs but that required some 2.0 items that i didnt have apparently. i.e. gconf >= 2.0.0. |

galeon 1.3.3 has support for mozilla 1.3 with GTK2, I'm using It now.
For evolution, check if you have mozilla in your USE variable, I don't know if this could be your problem, but I'm using Evolution 1.2.3 and the summary works fine |

I emerged galeon 1.3.3 and set it to system default browser .. that works. If mozilla is system default browser it still doesn't.. |

Hi!
Did you kill gnome-panel after compile? If not kil it, it will respawn. The evolution entry should now be available. _________________ Scientists tell us that the fastest animal on earth, with a top speed of 120 feet/second, is a cow that has been dropped out of a helicopter.

I changed default browser from ~/.gnome/Gnome (i'm running Gnome2 so it's preferred applications setup had no effect) |
