Video card recommendation?

Hi,

Right now i am running a gforce 4 mx on an asus motherboard w/o pci-e and on an athlonXP 2500+ . I am looking to upgrade the video board (partially in because of the release of the next age of empires this week) and i am not sure what to get. i am looking to spend about $100. I would like vivo if it is linux supported (right now i am running a recent nitro kernel but i could change that if it matters). Does anyone have this working? it looks like mplayer supports vivo but i have seen a number of older threads that don't have a successful ending. I am also wondering which processor to get. where is the point where agp becomes a bottleneck? I want to stay with nvidia.

What do you suggest?

Planeshift (when i can get it to compile)
misc 3d linux and windows games on occasion.

I'm getting ready to put a geforce 6600GT in one of my linux machines.. Seems to be a pretty powerful card, enough for most anything linux can throw at it at least...

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but not to Gentoo....

Someone has tried last Xorg7.0 with Ati Radeon Vivo? It should work...
