Dumb error of me^^

Hello

Some days ago i emerged with

ACCEPT_KEYWORD="~amd64" emerge -u -D world

some python-stuff wasn`t able to be compiled so i decided to emerge again without ACCEPT_KEYWORD...

i got a message that the perl-package has been masked with "~amd64" and emerge isnt able to emerge

now my dumb fault:

i unmerged perl with ACCEPT_KEYWORD ignoring the warning tha perl is a important system-part because i wanted to re-emerge the stable perl-package.

so perl as been unmerrged and i emerged the stabe perl-pkg.

as far as good..

rebooting results in a quite running system exept of error-messages that iptables is missing some config-stuff

the main-problem is that my NIC wouldnt be initialized anymore and my gentoo has no more internet access...


any hints fixing this fault without reinstalling the whole OS???

is your NIC's driver loaded? if not, try using modprobe to load it.
Then use ifconfig to manually configure it, or dhcpcd if you're behind a router.
