hi.
i currently have hardened-sources with pax, pie, ssp, grsec.
i am trying to emerge mod X and recieve the error that i need to emerge with vanilla gcc.
will this remove hardened pie and ssp?
any info here would be appreciated. |

Have you tried the hardened xorg guide?
From the docs, Xorg needs to be built with ddloader. I don't run X wth hardened so I have not tested this myself. _________________ AMD64 Gentoo Hardened server

yeah.
i used that guide (along with a plethora of others).
from what i can tell the dlloader fix deals more with execution than with compiling.
i have the server and a couple other packages installed now.
i am just wondering what the differencs is betweenthe two versions:
[1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.5
[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.5-vanilla
does vanilla remove hardened pie and ssp support? |
