Not sure but maybe you need to emerge gimp-print-cups (if using cups). _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

Ive emerged gimp-print-cups but I still get no print menu. I am using the 1.3x version of gimp..Is there a build for this version or posibly a simple way to edit the builds to work for 1.3x? |

I'm in the same boat, except versions are different.
Using gimp-1.2.4 (also tried 1.2.5)
Using gimp-print-cups-4.3.5 (also tried 4.3.8-r1)
Can use cups to print fine from other apps. But alas, no print for gimp. It used to work... can't remember what version it last worked with tho.
I guess its probably a version conflict between gimp and gimp-print-cups... I'll wait for the next version, don't use it often anyway. _________________ --James (Dugite) |

I had the same problem with gimp-1.3.16 today.
I noticed that the ebuild has a "--disable-print" line in the config section, I changed it to "--enable-print" and recompiled. Now the print menu is there and printing through CUPS works fine.
But, there's probably a good reason why this was disabled at first...
