|
|
Hello,
I have a pentium3 here that i would like to use to install a GCC 4.1, GLIBC 2.4 based system.
The machine is not very fast and I would like to get good performances while avoiding flags related mysterious problems...
So what would be the right flags (C, C++ and LDFLAGS (why not?...)) for GCC 4.1? (where keywords would be: performances and reliability)

You may consider -Os, meaning optimize executables for size. Then you'll fit more program code in your (limited) cache and have better performance, in theory. |
