When I try to download gento-sources kernel I am getting this error message

"error parsing proxy URL"

Please post the contents of /etc/make.conf and the output of grep proxy /etc/wget/wgetrc.

This happened because I entered Code listing 4 "export http_proxy..................."

Do not enter this code and it will work.
