A HP DeskJet is attached to a "Server" running cups at 192.168.0.3.

I want to print on this printer from a client (192.168.0.4). The Server and Client have network access.
Both run cups.
I setup the printer on the client (address is http://192.168.0.3/printers/HP-DeskJet).

Nothing happens when I try to print a testpage. Nothing even shows in the logs (log level debug 2).

I also tried to setup the printer via kde. Which does not work too.

Printing on this printer form a different client (192.168.0.11) works without problems. (Both clients run gentoo and I used the same addresses for the Print-Server)

Any ideas?

just a guess, but how are the settings in your /etc/cups/cupsd.conf (Section <Location />) on the server? Maybe you allowed only access from the other client?

Your guess was right. I only allowed access from one specific client not from the whole local network.
I just wondered that no errors were found in any cups log when I tried to access the server from the restricted client.

Thanks
