Is there any way to customize compiz's toolbar color to something specific? It seems to kind of mimic whatever gtk theme I have on. |

Nope, had this too. I think it was caused by the "use=menu" flag. Compiled compiz without this - working again.

-menu worked for the window border. But why doesn't evdev work properly? It seems to for all but the side buttons (MX1000). Using xbindkeys to setup the buttons. |

|
|
Hi, I have a strange issue since updating the xgl stuff.
All drawings are flipped, to mirrored text/fonts and the bottom of images is now upwards. This is really strange, as the mouse clicks have to go to the original position. So, when going to a menu, the first entry is in mirrored text at the bottom, but nevertheless you have to click in the top. I you go with the mouse over the menu the highlight is in wrong position, too. This happens with the startxgl script from the overlay using gnome or kde on an ATI radeon M9. Four days ago, everything work still fine.
Has Anybody else the same problem or a solution? |

Any hints? |
Unfortunately it seems that the DPMS support is currently disabled in xgl
Indeed, xgl is not compiled with the DPMS extension and xorg is launched with the "-dpms" option that tells to disable dpms.
I have tried several things :
- adding "AC_DEFINE(DPMSExtension, 1, [Build DPMS extension])" in configure.ac
- changing the source code in order to remove the "-dpms" option when xorg is launched
However, none of these helped.
Does anyone know how to get it working ? |

This works for me. You can edit what server to use and so on in GDMs setting-gui. Try that way if this do not work. |

I can get Xgl working from screen :1 but if I try and run it from a console after doing pkill kdm I get this error...
Code: |
(EE) fglrx(0): === [R200DALSetControllerConfigForRemap] === CWDDC ControllerConfig failed: 6 -0
|
What is happening? Did X not quit? How can I get this to work? Thanks in advance I will start looking through google and the wiki _________________ Thanks

Hey,
I discovered today a metacity ebuild in Coffees Overlay!
But a unmask didnt enable the emerge, it is masked by "unknown keyword".
I think i have to demask gnome, but i dont want to!
So when i have configurable windows after the unmask, i have think about it.
anyone knows more about this ebuild "metacity-2.15.0_p20060323.ebuild"? |

that metacity is patched for aixgl. aixgl is in HEAVY development and barely works on i810 and some r200/300 cards (maybe not even i810).
We (jonls and I) have ebuilds that are keyworded "-*" ... to use them you have to add "category/package -*" to package.keywords but bewarned, they are marked -* for a reason... i.e. they dont work.
kind of a dirty trink but since we can't maniuplate the global package.mask, its all we can do to stop users from uatomatically upgrading to these packages. _________________ HP Pavilion zd7260us

@coffeebuzz team...
Overlay build for x11-drm should have the following two fixes applied:
1. Should install to kernel section of modules directory:

2: If you have a modular kernel with DRM and video card compiled as a module, the ebuild will bomb unless you explicitly remove this option from your kernel. Apply the patch below to correctly warn on only "built-in" DRM and video card. (originally posted here under the Xgl and i810 forum - https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3202028.html#3198788)

Can you update the x11-drm ebuild (bump version or whatever)? Thanks.

Patch #2. needs to be applied first (sorry about that)... _________________ If God were a pickle, I'd still say "no pickle on my burger".

when compiling libcm, I get the following: Code: | cubetest.c: In function `main':
cubetest.c:127: warning: implicit declaration of function `ws_window_gl_finish'
magtest.c: In function `main':

magtest.c:143: warning: implicit declaration of function `ws_window_gl_finish'
magtest.c:87: warning: unused variable `root'
magtest.c: At top level:
magtest.c:32: warning: 'paint_window' defined but not used |
and then it just sort of sits there. Doesn't quit or error out or anthing, just stops compiling and does nothing. |

I would assume you have the pluggins started from the xgl command line,
therefore they are working. You can add the pluggins in the proper order
in gconf as per the HOWTO. Commands in gconf will override the command line options.
I also believe it requires logout-login for the options to show up in gconf after adding pluggins. |
Ok thank you that rocked! But I don't get an animated sky though, do I need to install something else? And also changing the color does not really work...
/edit: What type of pic must the skydom image have? And why do I only see the svg on the top of the cube? I also added a second to the list but it didn't help.... _________________ Workstation: 5.1 SurroundSound, LIRC remote control; Laptop [IBM-T43]: patched sources, s2disk/ram, fingerprint sensor |
