I recently switched from ubuntu to gentoo and I only have one thing I cant seem to get working. When I try to setup any app or game that is on a cd through wine I get a path error. Basically it seems to think the cd is my home directory or last drive letter in the wine setup. So if I run wine g:\\setup.exe from a terminal the path error corresponds to j:\whatever. J: pionts to my home directory. If I remove J: from my config it moves to C:. One game[/url] that I had running under wine in ubuntu was quake2. However this error occurs only with anything that is installed via a cd.
I have dvdshrink, ifoedit working under wine so I am sure my config is ok but I have never seen an error like this and I have search for days. Thanks for the help. here is exact error
Abort Message:

I got this error with wine-0.9.5 and wine-0.9.9 on Gentoo 2005.1 and Kernel 2.6.15-r1 |
