In a recent attempt to rid my life of X (I have nothing against it, just wanted to see if I could do it), I have had problems with tmview. I use the times package in all of my LaTeX files, but when I tried to view the dvi files in dvisvga, none of them showed up. I am able to view all computer modern fonts (equations and such), and lines, but none of the times fonts show up.
When I run dvisvga
Code: |
$ dvisvga -f/var/cache/fonts// -t/usr/share/texmf/fonts// -r600x600 lab.dvi
This is some kind of DVIewer, V01.03

I think this has something to do with virtual font files .vf instead of the use of .pk files. The README says dvisvga says should handle them and the CHANGES says support for virtual font files was added specifically for times support.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
