Hello, I will keep it simple.
I can't emerge kde-base/kdm-3.4 because it is blocked by kde-base/kdebase-3.4.
How can this be possible? How can I fix it?

If you typed 'emerge kde', you will already have kdm on your computer as it is part of the the kdebase package (which is a dependency of the whole kde package).

This issue has already been discussed in the topic "Blockers in KDE 3.4.1", where it was summarized by Headrush; and it is also covered in The KDE Configuration HOWTO.

Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads.
