I am trying to emerge phpmyadmin and it is telling me that dev-php/mod_php is blocking it as well as dev-php/php
Can I not run phpmyadmin? |

At a guess, it's actually a conflict between dev-lang/php and dev-php/(mod_php, php). Posting the output of emerge would help. _________________ Gentoo:

!!! Error: the dev-php/mod_php package conflicts with another package.
!!! both can't be installed on the same system together.
!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers.
BOOYAA MySQL # emerge --pretend phpmyadmin

get an earlier version of phpmyadmin which does not require php5. As an alternate, install phpmyadmin manually, it takes five minutes. dev-php is obsolete now in portage, don't know why. |
