Hi,

I finally got lirc_sir running on my thinkpad T23 notebook, but mode2 shows too many space/pulse pairs for my taste.

When I press a button on a remote as short as I can, mode2 gives me 11 to 12 times space/pulse. Is that normal? I've never used lirc before.

irrecord does not work either (always saying "Something went wrong...") when I want to record remote keystrokes, even with -f option.

I tried with two different remotes - same behavior.

btw: I found out that compling lirc without --with-port and --with-irq options, a modprobe lirc_sir completely locks up my machine.

Any ideas?

thanks!
