Hello,
I just finished upgrading my gentoo laptop and it upgraded Xorg to 7.1 and ati-drivers to 8.29.6.
Now, when I plug my laptop to my tv, the picture does not take up the entire screen. There is a thick black line about 2cm wide on the right of the screen, squishing the screen horizontally. This problem goes away when i set the resolution to 800x600.
Mythtv seems to work on load up, however when I try to play a video, it seems to only show the top half of a bigger picture. The picture takes up nearly the entire screen, but it's like half of the full picture. I see only the top of peoples faces.
It used to work before Xorg7.1. Does anyone know how to solve this?
If you have a working setup, could you please post your xorg.conf.
Thank you,
Sly |

Try to check TV and interface scale (3:4/16:9) and check your zoom mode... |

Thanks guys
golgo13: it works now, setting VideoOverlay to off did the trick.
How is anybody suppose to figure out all these options. Anyways, thanks for the help, i'm glad it works now.
To summarize:
- TV resolution changed to 800x600
- Option "VideoOverlay" "off" in section "Device" for primary display
Thanks again

I had the same problem, it's actually a post of mine somewhere else. You're lucky since I just figured it out right before I found your posts. I really would like to know what all the options are but I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere. I am now an expert at xorg.conf files though. _________________ www.latestintech.com |
