|

Within the KDE control center under System Administration > Login Manager, I click Administrator Mode so I can enable autologin for this ancient G3 I use as a glorified chat box. But when the authentication window comes up it won't accept my root pass. Funny thing is I also cannot su to root from a standard Konsole (nor a gnome-terminal either now that I'm checking). However, I can login as root by tapping ctrl-alt F1 and doing so from the first VT. But I am unsure how to configure an auto-login for KDE if I can't use the KDE su function. Any ideas? |
