I just started using KDE (at least until GTK2 becomes standard for Gnome). Every time I load Konquerer the window loads up too small, where can I set the default window size?

In the 'Settings' menu you can 'Save View Profile'. There you can specify to save the window size too.

You can also save the window size & location when you click on the little button (top-left side)
of the titlebar and select 'Store window settings'... This works for all your windows.

(It only seems to forget in which desktop it was running when KDE is stopped so XMMS
and Gaim pop up on desktop #1 on startup while they were on #3 when I logged out.)
