Laptop recommendations?

Hi, I have been a linux-laptop enthusiast for a while now, been using madwifi for competent wireless access, etc. Well after 3 years of faithful service, my laptop died. I may have to buy an outright replacement, so what I want to know is:

• Where can I get an athlon64 laptop with a decent(not super-expensive) 3d card?
  
• Where can I get said laptop without windowsXP preloaded so I can save that expense?
  
• Will there be decent kernel support for many of the integrated devices on this laptop?
  

I don't care so much about weight, just as long as it has an hour of battery life to it I'd consider it a good buy.
