|

Hi,
I have a problem with my PCI-X Bus. For some reason my SCSI-Controller (alone ia a 133MHz capable PCI-X Bus) is workig at 66MHz and my SATA-RAID card (alone in a 100MHz capable PCI-X Bus) only uses 32bit.
Both PCI-X Busses are 64bit, and so are the cards.
The Hardware is a Tyan Thunder K8S Pro with 2 Opteron 242 (1.6GHz) and 1GB RAM.
I am running Kernel 2.6.9-gentoo-r14 (64bit).
I am only getting datarates of max. ~60MB/s out of the Raid Card although 5 160GB SATA-Drives combined to one Raid5 are connected.
I think that this might be the problem.
I have appendet the relevant output of "lspci -v".
I hope somebody can help me.

i believe on some cards are jumpers that need to be set correctly to either 32bit or 64bit. |

Did you find a solution to your problem?? - I also have an LSI Megaraid 150-6 installed in a 64bit/66Mhz PCI-X slot and it is defaulting to 32bit. I haven't had much luck finding the issue either.
My mother board is a SuperMicro P4SCT-II+0

are you sure the megaraid 150-6 card supports 64bit? and if so, are you sure you used the correct jumper settings? (i don't know if you need to configure this with jumpers on this card, but i DO know, that there are jumpers on the card, so...) |
