|
|
Ok, I emerged evolution 1.2.3 and - oops! - spellcheck is now broken, none of my installed dictionaries show up under tools-settings-composer preferences-spell checking. I unmerged and re-emerged gnome-spell, aspell and aspell-en, also I made sure that I had 'spell' in my use flag before emerging evolution...
On my x86 workstation I've had no problem with evolution/spellcheking so far, this leads me to believe the problem is somehow related to the ppc platform(masked packages maybe?). If anybody could help I'd really appreciate it, I just transitioned pretty much all my personal stuff on my now much beloved gentoo-ppc G4, but I really need evolution to work properly. |

Good day,
I know this thread was old but I wanted to mention that i am currently having this problem on x86. Did you ever figure out the problem???
So far, re-emerging packages hasn't helped... Either has restarting Evolution, X, or my system. _________________ Greg T. |

OK, I finally fixed this on my system. Re-emerging certain packages and then restarting Evolution again did the trick.
I'm not positive, but I think re-emerging the "gnome-spell" package did the trick (just in case this is helpful to anyone). _________________ Greg T. |
