Has anyone managed to get workrave installed?

The masked ebuild wouldn't compile, so I downloaded the latest source tarball, did the usual ./configure make make install.

Everything seems to build fine, but make install, though giving no errors, doesn't seem to install anything anywhere.

Anyone managed to successfully install Workrave on their gentoo boxes?

Cheers,
Ryan

yeah i did just recently.

I also installed from source 'cause the ebuild isn't working (doesn't seem to be maintained either, still at version 1.0.)

I just did a simple
Code:

./configure --prefix=/home/koen/apps
make
make install

which worked for me. Maybe you can also try to install it to a non-default location? (EXTREMELY stupid question but you are root when make installing right?). Using version 1.2.2 by the way.

I copied the 1.0.0 ebuild to 1.2.2.
Commented out the following line in the ebuild:
# use gnome && myconf="${myconf} --enable-gnome --enable-gconf"
(because it broke a dependency for libgnomeuimm-2 I just could not get resolved and obviously, I don't seem to need).

I works nicely :)

well that kinda worked (the manual install into another directory).

However, the preferences dialog doesn't come up and the images appear as broken image links (unless a blank page icon with a red cross in the middle is the real icon).

UPDATE: I then manually copied the files to the "correct" directories eg, /usr/bin etc. All works fine now.
