|

ok guys this is more of a linux question but here goes
i have four partitions
Name Flags Part Type FS Type [Label] Size (MB)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sda1 Boot Primary NTFS [^S] 168281.01
sda2 Primary Linux ext2 32.91
sda3 Primary Linux swap / Solaris 509.97
sda4 Primary Linux ext3 [GentooSda4] 31223.17
sda1 is windows
sda2 is my gentoo boot partition
sda3 is swap
sda4 is the root partition
i now no longer want windows to occupy so much space, what do i do?
i cant shrink windows then add another partition as the free space will be "unusable"
i want to keep my gentoo and windows installations, i just want more space to store
on gentoo?
i dont want to reinstall windows or gentoo, however i will reinstall windows if i HAVE to
im thinking my options are to copy the boot partition enlarge the boot partition (replace the data ) and store stuff on that
any help or ideas would be appreciated
thanks in advance

you can use qtparted to resize the windows partition
then remove the swap partition
create a new extended partition to be able to create
- a new swap partition
- a new data partition to claim the free space
into this extended partition _________________ Unanswered Post Initiative | Search | FAQ
